In this program, we'll focus on working with botanical painting palettes made up of fruits and flowers. Age 18 and up.
This program will be led by artist Maria Schechter. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, and has received a variety of grants and awards, including the UCLA Artist Achievement Award and the Center for Cultural Innovation Grant. She has exhibited with several galleries and museums, including Agora Gallery and Whitebox in New York City, The Abrams Claghorn Gallery, and the Seattle Art Museum. She has been published in Eluxe Magazine, The Ecological Citizen, and many others.
All attendees must sign a waiver; you can download and sign it prior to the program, or you can sign one of the copies we'll have on-site.

The Southwest Branch, recently opened in 2023 and located next to Batchelor Middle School, has reservable meeting rooms, spaces for children and teens, a teaching kitchen, and an amphitheater.
