Indiana Legal Services will assist patrons with sealing evictions from their public record. Age 18 and up.
Patrons will meet with an attorney on a first-come, first-served basis. The attorney will fill out the paperwork necessary for eligible evictions to be sealed and may e-file those documents on a patron's behalf, or give the documents to the patron to file and serve the previous landlord on their own. The decision to seal each eviction is ultimately up to the judge of the court in which the eviction was filed.
Note: The wait time to meet with an attorney could be as long as one hour.
This program is in partnership with Indiana Legal Services.
